Ski Hakuba, Japan

The Hakuba Valley in Nagano Prefecture is a huge expanse of resorts offering an incredible variety of terrain for skiers and snowboarders alike. Situated in the heart of the Japan Alps, the alpine scenery is truly spectacular with huge rugged peaks towering above the town below.

The Hakuba Valley consists of several ski resorts, all available on your included ski pass and linked by a network of ski buses. Hakuba is a skiing and snowboarding mecca, with 10 resorts and over 200 runs in the valley. The resorts of Hakuba-47, Goryu Toomi and Happo One are in the southern end of the valley, are closest to most accommodation and are generally the most popular amongst international visitors. The resorts of Iwatake, Tsugaike, Norikura and Cortina are well worth the visit, and all are very popular mountains. Your lift ticket gives you the choice, and it is definitely worth the effort to visit each one!
