Appi ski resort is located in the very north-east of Japan’s mainland and near the Towada Hachimantai National Park. The northerly location means Appi’s snow quality is exceptional, with an abundance of light dry powder. Snow storms move across the Sea of Japan and pass over the Ou mountain range before descending upon the Appi ski resort.

At Appi, 282 hectares of skiable terrain offers 828 metres of vertical. Over 44km of groomed trails offer great on piste skiing and snowboarding, serviced by 18 fast, modern lifts.

Appi’s facilities include a ski school with English speaking instructors, kids’ activities and kindergarten (from three years), as well as a snowmobile land, various cross country courses, nature tours, snowcat tours and snowshoeing.
